I was curious, the hill behind my dwelling, luminous with a pale glow in the black of night.
It was beckoning me, like a long deceased acquaintance whom forgot to tell a secret.
I was lustful, and set forth to it.
I was delusional, to believe that the mass of dirt and rock would let me near.
It was sleeping, much as I was asleep.
I had fallen, loosely surprised as the grass swayed beneath me... as I was pulled in.
I was curious, again, as the man in the chair questioned me.
His eyes, covered with one hand.
I was foolish not to remember.
He showed me mercy.
He uncovered his eyes, and so too did I...
I rose from my bed, weary.
I wished for clarity.
I wish for clarity.
My wish becomes me.
